Ingredients
  • Two 7-8 oz. boxes macaroni and cheese
  • One 15 oz. can chili with no beans
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup (one stick) butter or margarine
  • Four beef hot dogs

Makes six servings. Recipe may be halved, or doubled if you have big enough pots.

Directions
bowl of chili-mac

Fill a large pot with water and a dash of salt, boil.

Thinly slice the hot dogs. Add hot dogs and chili to another large pot, simmer. Add butter, milk, and cheese packets from the macaroni and cheese. Stir well. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is done.

Add macaroni to rapidly-boiling water, cook per directions on the box (8-12 minutes, until pasta is done). Drain, using a colander (easier to use) or the lid to the pot (easier to clean). Add macaroni to the other pot. Optionally, top with grated mild cheddar cheese. Stir well, serve.
